I just received my kit and a note inside advised of an issue if installed
in a Vanagon with OEM Cruise Control.

Would anyone advise if I can disregard the CC note or not?  FYI, my '90
Westy has a 2.5L 2005 Forester engine.  The CC rarely works and when it
does it doesn't work well.  I've been advised it will "never work well"
because of wiring/communication issues betwixt the engine/chassis.
