I've got a swivel seat base welded into my driver's pedestal and wondered
if it's a bad idea to cut it out.

I know a previous owner installed it along with some spray foam below but
don't understand why the foam and the moisture I often find in the battery
box to the rear.

Any advice on whether I should just leave it in place or sell the entire
swivel base?
