if i wanted to bond a new metal tab or whatever to a plastic box, I'd use Marine Tex... about the best two-part epoxy I've ever found. Hardware stores and marine supply places. this one.. http://www.apsltd.com/marine-tex-2oz-white.html?fee=5&fep=25931&utm_source=Google+Shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Product&gclid=CMjtqaOaiswCFU6BfgodoxMOmQ comes in white or grey . plastics are 'funny' of course ...but for regular hard black plastic ..this stuff bonds quite well.
