Just wondering about some things.  When I go my beast 8 years ago, I did
some safety related and other preventative maintainance jobs, including
redoing the fuel hoses and the coolant hoses.

When do I need to do those again?  Just as they deteriorated while the POs
had the vehicle, they go bad while I have it.  How soon?  I want neither a
fire nor a fried engine.
