does the flame get bigger when you turn thermostat clockwise? With the lights off, or using a cardboard tube, you should be able to see if flame changes size when turning the thermostat. There may be a sealed tube "sensor" at the cooling unit. On the Dometic, this tube connects from thermostat to metal cooling unit. A small piece of white rubber or silicone holds this tube up against, or close to, the cooling unit metal. Some images of my old Dometic fridge: Dometic thermostat showing this sealed tube (silver metal) http://tinyurl.com/j2wthfb tube at cooling pipe inside fridge http://tinyurl.com/hdzvfq5 where tube fits on cooling unit. On the Dometic, there is a small white rubber or silicon piece that holds this tube close to or against the metal. http://tinyurl.com/hjkpokx Neil.
