It's either an old battery or it has something draining it.  It should last
for a few months.

Here is a question for the occasional Vanagon drivers. How long does your
Vanagon's battery stay charged when it hasn't been driven? After two weeks
of sitting idle, my Vanagon's battery doesn't have enough juice to turn over

Is that normal?
