I believe your carat should have a 3 prong connector located just behind
the RH side of lower grill, on the radiator. Remove the connector &
short pins 1&2 or 1&3. Fan should run. I think 1&2 are low speed & 1&3
are high speed.  A thermal switch on the radiator may be the culprit, I
have seen these stop functioning.
