they unscrew from the rack.
get the rubber boot out of the way ..
I recall 22mm perhaps ..
it's very important to hold the rack from twisting with a wrench while
unscrewing the tie rod.

the ball joint on the inner end of the tie rod definitely unscrews from
the rack, pretty sure.
