Today is a sad day in my household. I just sold my Vanagon, which I have owned for 9 years to a very nice gentleman from Ohio. He came all the way to Long Island to pick it up. I hope that he gets it back on the road and enjoys the heck out of it. 
Last year I sold my other Vanagon that I owned since 1994. Unfortunately, that vehicle was Beyond repair, in my estimation, but someday that too may see new life. 
So it is the first time since 1975 when I owned my first Beetle, a Baja Bug, that there has not been a VW in the McDermott household. 
I recently purchased a Sprinter that , I hope, will bring as much joy and travels around our land as my beloved VW's had.

I have been on the Vanagon list since almost the beginning, but not as vocal as most.
