As we celebrate the tenth anniversary of Pluto's demotion from planethood we also look back on the week a grey '87 Westy came to live with us.  Hard to believe it's been a whole decade and the demotion event was sufficiently cosmic for the van to be named in its honor, but I did not like the Disney connotation of the Pluto name and I had always intended to name a Westy after Greta, our local NPR station's crazy German lady announcer, but Pluto seemed too momentous to be ignored.  So the van never got a name and ten years later we just call it "the camper."
Guess we need to celebrate and go campering.
