From the owners I was speaking to the problems seem to stem from an "aggressive" computer, optimized to make the company money on service. They say they rarely get more than a few weeks without a "code" and most times the code will set the Sprinter into "limp" mode, where the vehicle runs, but crappily. The fellow with the nearby diesel automatic...he says he's just gotten used to driving it with no turbo and no power, rather than Hucking it off to Portland a couple of times a month.
