Right now I have .73 Volts. .73 volts corresponds to limits of about 30C-40C for the allowable range of resistance per the graph in Bentley. At 0C it would be about two volts. The sender is fed five volts through approx. 8130 ohms, forming a voltage divider at the junction which the ECU reads. The voltage at that point becomes Vecu = (five volts x Rsender ohms) / (8130 ohms + Rsender ohms). You can get the allowable range of ohms for a given temp from Bentley. The ECU applies temp enrichment during open-loop operation/starting up to 60C, with a maximum of 2.5x running and 4x starting at -40C. >New question: How does the Evaporative Emission >System affect starting performance? No more than when running. There's a flow-limiting orifice. The valve is plumbed to a throttle body port which only gets vacuum when the throttle is cracked open, and there is a tiny (.006") orifice in the line at the throttle body that ensures the valve doesn't open instantly. The maximum flow rate through the canister is controlled by a larger orifice in the nylon tee where the suction line plumbs into the aux air regulator line on the 1.9l. The 2.1l drawing leaves all that out, but you should be able to trace it. >Mike M
