I edit a newsletter for my EAA chapter in Word. Every source of text carries with it its own formatting commands which don't work in another editor. I clear formatting in every piece of text that I import. If the individual using Word would clear formatting before they cut and paste into the email engine they are using the random characters problem should go away. Changing your email address won't help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "T3 Technique" <christopher@T3TECHNIQUE.COM> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, December 06, 2016 11:28 AM Subject: Re: block of random characters I hesitate to comment on the list due to this problem, but I'm not sure what's causing it. I am simply using outlook...no word processors, no other funky stuff like that. Just straight up Outlook. Can someone explain to me how to change my email address to see if that helps? And I apologize for this issue. It was brought to my attention a while back and I stopped posting, but just recently I made a post and forgot about the issue. Anyway, sorry for the hassle. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Dan N Sent: Tuesday, December 06, 2016 8:04 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: block of random characters being a graphic designer I've seen this incident a few times (not many) in the past... me too it seems to me that Chris used a a word processor to write his message and then copy in paste in the body of his email..."random characters blocking" had cause havoc on some printers too...
