OK, I'll point at the obvious.  Aim toward Asheville, NC and pick up the
Blue Ridge Parkway.  Follow that weaving two-lane through the mountains
all the way up through NC and Virginia.  Somewhere in VA it turns into
"Skyline Drive" and will take you nearly to PA.  It's the Appalachian
Trail for vehicles.

I'm so envious.
