Hi David,

You're exactly right.  When I turn the key to START I hear the fuel pump
whiz until I let it spring back to ON, but no crank and no funny noises at
any time.

I tested the battery: ~12.3V.  I have not done any further diagnostics.  On
hold until the weekend.
