Hi, Thanks very much for everyone who has over the ages repeatedly said to make sure your CV bolts are cleaned out before you try to take them off. Heeding that advice, I was able to easily, with no drama remove my drive shaft. This is in conjunction with some wheel bearing work, so I'm going to re-grease my CV's at the same time. I would like to replace all the CV bolts with new, just to start from a known point. The bolts I took off are a 6 point (ie: Allen ) type. They were easy to clean out & take off. It seems that it's possible to buy either 6 point or 12 point (is that a Torx?) bolts. Is there any advantage to one or the other? It seems like the 6 point would be easier to clean out, but if there are 12 point bolts, there must be a good reason for them. I will be getting new washers as well. Thanks, Steve Williams
