Hey Jim. where are you? What year? That reply about speaker placement has got me wondering. I had a 84.5 and a 85 and don't remember a difference in speakers. The part about mirrors is one I hadn't thought of until you mentioned it. I have standard (non-electric) mirrors. Is the mount different for electric mirrors? The differences are going to be things like the style of mirror mounts, where the speakers are located, that's about it. I have a passenger door but it sounds like you are pretty far away. I can be shipped by bus, though. It got punched in on the mid to lower front and the window cranks, but will only go down about a third of the way. The door opens and closes, although closes a bit hard. There is also some damage to the front pillar, but does not appear serious. I haven't been to a body shop yet, but the insurance adjuster indicated I may need a door. So, here are my questions. What door fits an '87 Westy, any idea where I may find one (I live just north of Boston, MA), and about how much should one pay? I know that last one is a shot in the dark, but I have only bought whole Vanagons, not just doors and have no idea what I should expect. Any list knowledge would be helpful in this stressful situation. Thanks Dave B.
