I ordered one and got four of the gas springs as well. After I ordered them I discovered buslab's stainless steel OEM style reproduction hinge as they carried the specific type for my early Vanagon. It looks great and works perfectly in the original holes. I would like to take a look at installing a couple of the gas springs on places like the pantry and rear cabinet doors to keep them open when I want them open and from banging around as I drive if they are not latched.
