Sorry - I know this is elementary, but I'd appreciate a virtual helping
hand.

I have now removed the seat, and the rectangular plate overlaps about 2
inches over the battery cavity.  I couldn't get the seat to swivel.  I
guess I could remove the passenger seat and see what's different.  The
Bentley and the original user manual that I have do not mention anything
about the rectangular plate overlapping the aux battery cavity (and
couldn't find it on the samba) and I'm not sure of how to remove it.

Does everything look normal, or was it modified?  It's probably easy to
remove, but I don't know exactly how the plate is attached.
