Some of you may recall the incident where I knocked my Dometic 182b refrigerator off the work table and it seemed to have died. The burner box was cracked along one edge, the brazing for the drain tube to burner box was cracked, the tube was bent, and perhaps there were other damages. All was due to my neighbors unfriendly dog entering my workshop while I was working on the refrigerator. Before we left for camping last week, the neighbor, whom I had inferred responded indifferently to the incident, came over to apologize for the dog's behavior, and his abrupt departure without making inquiries concerning consequences. He had wanted to get the dog safely ensconced, and had to depart for work. Turns out that work involves welding, and he also has his own equipment. He came over this morning, fashioned a new drain tube, brazed the cracked burner box and brazed the drain tube back properly. I had previously cleaned the propane line to the burner box, though I am not sure how adequately. I also found that the lack of 12 V power to the refrigerator was due to a loose connection that powers both the refrigerator and the fresh water tank pump. When everything was properly hooked up and checked for leaks (none), the refrigerator started immediately on propane. Ambient temperature this afternoon is 82 F. The refrigerator is cooling. We'll see how cold it gets. mcneely
