There is a forum and probably a FB page for every vehicle. Here's a Forester forum: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/  Subaruvanagon won't do you any good unless you want to be the first to put a 2017 2.5 engine in your Syncro.

However, Vanagon.com is an old fashioned email list, plain text only, which limits its posts to pithy messages from old fashioned Vanagon enthusiasts.  Far more useful than the firehose of stuff on FB, IMHO.
