Help! I'm dead in the water at a campground in Niagara Falls, Ontario. 87 Westy won't start. Ran yesterday. Was puttering around in the engine compartment, went to start it up and nothing. Fuel pump and injectors working to the point the engine flooded. Pulled plugs turned engine over and gasoline blew out. Cleaned the plugs and put them back in.

Got power to the coil, but no spark of I ground out the coil wire. Got power to the hall sensor. Tach needle bounces when I try to start.

Not sure if this has any bearing, but when I was checking for power to the I noticed a brown wire with a green stripe, one end attached to the body ground forward of the coil the other is not attached to anything.

Is it the coil, or something else?
