1988 Vanagon GL, 200,000 miles plus. No radio, but everything else works. New diesel starter conversion (sick of the old starters), good tires (General Altimax heavy duty 205x14- recommended by Dennis Haynes) Dennis Haynes Heavy Duty Tow Hitch (frame mounted). Appearance is shabby. Faded paint. Needs a paint job. But no rust. Front carpet available but not installed. Rear carpet gone. Rear floorboard inserts missing. Middle seat (bench) is available. Engine- WBX 2.1L/ 175,000 miles. Compression: 95, 98, 94, 29 Shoebox monitor and modified ECU with cable to front of van for convenience. Manual Trasmission. Five hundred miles since fresh overhaul. The old girl definitely needs some major engine work . Along with that low compression on one cylinder. It's pooting out anti freeze from the engine. Just looking for opinions as to what it might be worth.
