Hey all,

My friends/mechanics and I are troubleshooting a strange issue and I
thought I'd reach out to see if any of you have any insight.

Last summer we upgraded from 14" tires/wheels to 16" with the GoWesty 1.5"
lift springs and Bilstein high performance shocks and replaced our tie rod
ends and control arms. About 6 months after the work we started hearing our
tires rub on something when we lean into one side while turning. Over time
this got worse and we finally observed it happening, during a turn the tire
rubs on the mudflap screw or the the fender lip would be resting on the
tire resulting in the lip grabbing and cutting the tire. This happens on
rough roads and even on some deep driveways at gas stations, etc.

More information:
- 1987 full camper

- Center of wheel hub to fender lip is 17" all around, should be 19"
according to GoWesty

- Total weight (fully loaded with us in it) is 5700
- Front axle: 2750lbs
- Rear axle: 2950lbs

I'm spending the day at the shop on Sept. 17th to see what's going on.
There's no obvious sign of collapsed springs or anything else upon a basic
inspection but we hope to find a smoking gun in the shop.

I would love to hear your thoughts and especially any similar experiences
any of you may have had.

Thanks!

Jared
