They are very hard to give up.  There is no other vehicle like them.  Hope your problems are just the usual ones, and easy to fix.

After several bad experiences with Vanagon's I left the forum a couple of
years ago thinking I was done. Hit a deer and rolled one. Engine seized in
replacement.  Recently found a replacement engine for the '85 with the
intention to sell it...but after I drove it about a hundred feet I became
reinfected. I told my wife "I can't sell this now." And much to my surprise
she agreed. Thanks for still being here.
