Use Prestone Long Life, the one in the silver jug. It is Phosphate free, it says so on the label. Also, any Dex-Cool compatible anti freeze is also phosphate free. Concentrated or pre-mix, concentrated is better to carry with you as you have more in the same space. The water you mix it with is not that important u less you have some bad water on hand. I’m on a well here and been using that well water for 25 years, my van and all my customers vans. > On Sep 20, 2017, at 12:00 AM, Automatic digest processor <LISTSERV@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> wrote: > > Hi, > > I just did a complete cooling system swap.ย Hoses, stainless pipes, > stainless coolant tower, RMW aluminum tank, new thermostat housing, etc. > > I'm in Canada and in close proximity to Canadian Tire.ย Is there a > recommended Brand anti-freeze for our beloved Vanagons? > > Having never bought it in volume before, should I get concentrated, or > pre-mix?ย If I get concentrated, I assume I need to get de-mineralized > water from somewhere...ย is that correct?
