I broke both of mine and I was able to drill pilot holes in them and use very small sheet metal screws to attach it. Works fine. If you want it to NEVER come off again, use 3M 5200 adhesive/sealant. It will take several days to fully cure (depending on the relative humidity) but it'll hold forever. They do make a remover for 5200 now, so you could probably get it off later without breaking the grill, but I wouldn't count on it.

SEM Trim Black is also excellent, long lasting paint if you go through all of the gyrations they recommend. Not cheap though.

 Subject: Grille emblem

OK, so I just broke off one of the pins
holding on my VW front emblem on the '87 Westy (84.5
grille).  Any hints on how to remove the spring washer
(?) holding the pins?  I tried spray lube, and no
luck.  Am I doomed to buy a new one?
BTW, I lost the e-mail about the trim
black paint from NAPA that someone brought up on the brown
to black thread.  Can you refresh my memory?
