hi Gabriel, the very first one I installed 7 years ago and per Chris Corkin instructions I have the choices of not putting back on the tin or cutting off the forward (front) portion of it.. since it's for a Syncro I didn't cut it off but put it back anyway but it's a very very tight fit. Later on I ordered a longer set of hoses (2 additional inches) and replace the hoses because the short ones interfere with the OEM cruise control apparatus. Later on I ordered a few more oil cooler kits for my other vanagons with specific request with longer hoses. Since longer hoses are not part of his standard production his has to custom made for me... so if you order one you have to make a request for your application. hope this help dan On Tue, Oct 17, 2017 at 8:02 AM, Gabriel Hourtouat <ghourtouat@gmail.com> wrote: > Dan, > Looking at your link, > http://www.vanistan.com/oil_cooler_kits.html > > It seems that the OEM push rod tube cover would not fit over top of those > blue hoses. > > Is it a fact that the tin cannot be re-installed? > > And is that no big deal -- the tin is not necessary? > > > > > On Mon, Oct 2, 2017 at 2:18 PM, Dan N <dn92610@gmail.com> wrote: > > > regarding extra oil cooler I use Vanistan oil cooler kit on all my vans > > > > http://www.vanistan.com/oil_cooler_kits.html > > >
