        I appreciated the comparisons to the type 2.  I remember reading that the vanagon was bigger but now I realize not very much bigger then the bus.  Not all that much heavier either.  Less then the average weight of a adult person.

I knew the approximate HP of the 1.9 and 2.1 but it is  clear from the article 82 and 95. 

I thought the comment about the 2.1 having no trouble keeping up with traffic was interesting if that was the feeling for the time.

It was a fun article to read.
