David, Interesting... While I was not outright canceled by my carrier, I did get a big song and dance from Farmers when I tried switching to them from AAA. They claimed that b/c the title was "salvaged" it would be difficult to impossible to insure. AAA never cared. Also, I am just carrying Liability and no replacement value. They eventually agreed at an increased price to open a policy. Oddly, or maybe not I can see why cars get salvaged to start with, based on the insurer not wanting to fix it due to high cost especially when you have inflated claims by shops ! Maybe this comes back to them not wanting to insure your Westy knowing it would be expensive to fix if there was a claim ? -john On 11/9/17 2:55 AM, David Boan wrote: > A month ago I decided I should update my insurance carrier, Geico, about the customizations on my 85 westy. They agreed to increase the estimated value for a few additional dollars. Then I got a letter that they no longer considered my Westy insurable and are dropping coverage effective the end of the month, no further explanation given. I am now searching for other carriers. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this. Any suggestions for a new carrier are appreciated. > > David B > Boise > > Get Outlook for Android<https://aka.ms/ghei36>
