GoWesty has published dyno horsepower and torque graphs comparing their engines to a stock 2.1 engine. Here is a link to the HP graph. The dyno numbers look impressive and I would love to try a 2450cc setup. The complete pricing details are not yet available afaik. http://www.gowesty.com/images/ec/products/large/large_5177aeddd9a04ec1f7c6c276a6a61f5e.jpg Note that it says the performance numbers for their engines are all when also using their new proprietary fuel injection system on them. They are not yet offering that new FI system so pricing isn't certain at this time. The only reason I'd even consider such a purchase is if it would be compliant with Calif smog rules, which it may well be. Mark Stephen Engel wrote: > Yes, I read the GoWesty news. They are claiming the new 2.7 Liter WBX will produce 162 hp and 197 ft-lbs with 91 octane fuel. They don't say what engine rpm those numbers are achieved. No mention of its effect on stock drive train components either. > > I'm more interested in the new engine management system, but it is rumored to be priced at $3000! > > We will see what develops. > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Jan 3, 2018, at 11:20 PM, Eric Caron <eric.caron@ICLOUD.COM> wrote: >> >> Hi listers, >> >> Did anyone else read with interest about this new GW engine and fuel system management system? >> >> If I read correctly it said something like 80 percent more horse power. >> >> If the 2.1 had about 95 HP then does this new version of our engine have 171 hp? >> That just can’t be right.
