I went with Ken's oil gauge, it performs wonderful. Wasn't too bad to install. https://www.vanagain.com/shop/vanagon-oil-pressure-sensor-adapter-plate/ Here is a photo of where I installed the gauge in our friends 90 Westy. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNfIVYmvS36VHtz5BlZG9jRLImViFiQfyXD_gLUHsDHewHxmTl1wtmXVExVJ32q3Q/photo/AF1QipNCzCc66Fe3YnxInrQL2KexRt1hnxxjOGPMuRAg?key=ZjE3ZDNfTVZtZDJBeXE1U3Vmb1doRkNYZjRwanh3 Also, running Total 10W50 Racing Oil for the past 10 years, works great! https://www.carid.com/total/quartz-racing-synthetic-motor-oil-mpn-157104.html?view=511705&utm_source=microsoft&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=53463042&utm_content=4181287608 Jack -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Ryan Perry Sent: Thursday, March 8, 2018 6:29 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Kit Thanks for all the info and write ups. Y'all smart man... real smart. I'm gonna mull it over and weigh the options a bit this all makes perfect sense. And yes, using redline in the new engine but only 1 change past break in. Loving it!
