Interesting application. Not sure how it would stand up to some of the temps of the engine. I have a 82, I have almost all new rubber, except 3 seals for the following: The 2 around the alternator tubing to the exchangers (pn: 070 119 585), and the oil filler tin seal (pn: 070 119 953 B or C) https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/typ+2+syncro/t2/1982-4/1/119-16000/ <https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/typ+2+syncro/t2/1982-4/1/119-16000/> I cant find a max operating temperature on their site for Versimold but I'm sure the top of the engine gets to about 210F easily from heat transfer from the case of the engine alone.
