I had a 73/74 van with the 1800 pancake engine. Dual carbs which were really fiddly for balancing on idle. However it was the best of the air-cooled that I had from 58 KGhia, 60 beetle, 64 squareback, 70 bay window. It was a panel van that I converted into a near westfalia with the gear from a rusted out westy minus the pop top. Was a great traveling van, kids loved the table and bed, kept the boredom levels under control:) Ted Theodore Hoekman thoekman@gmail.com 19 York St. Newbury, ON N0L 1Z0 (519)719-0342 Blog:http://Tedspassivesolarhouse.wordpress.com On May 2, 2018, at 11:11 AM, Edward Maglott <emaglott3@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > I think the 912 always had the 4 cylinder derived from the 356.
