Sorry I should have specified 2 wheel drive 84 sitting slightly higher on Regular Gowesty springs. The sound is definitely coming from the rear and I’m definitely thinking it’s coming from the cv. If I shake the cv back and forth it goes away. I’m guessing I shouldn’t play with this and try and get the van home 400 miles shaking the cv any time I hear a noise. Should I just get a new boot or should I order the entire cv kit with new bearings and all that stuff? When I had them out everything appeared to be fine. I knew I should have fixed that boot before I left the house. Thanks for your responses.
