Yeah, but the paving was completed in 2011 and the top time that year was by Nobuhiro Tajima at 9:51:278, almost two minutes more than VW's record just seven years later.  2011 was also the first "under 10" run in the race's history.  At this rate they'll be finishing before they start in no time.
