Subject:Re: new calipers (e.g., from busdepot)?

Hi.

Did these new callipers replace rebuilt callipers that were faulty or worn?
e.g. leaking or seized? i.e. was the quality of these new callipers just
that much better than a rebuilt that it resulted in better brakes?

I recently had a calliper hardware part fail. New hardware wasn't easily
available so I "broke down" and replaced the rebuilts with "new" rebuilts.
Though the brakes work ok, brakes feel identical to what they were before.
i have to wonder if a new part would be an improvement.

Thanks

Neil.
