Subject:Re: oem faucet hard to turn on/off

Are you sure you have a real OEM faucet? By this point I think most or all
of them have given up. I too bought a Bus Depot replacement for the
original (OEM or not, what came in my Westy) and it worked as you describe.
Resistant, sticky, always sketchy. It finally gave up after numerous
applications of epoxy and adjustment of the internal switch. So, I did some
checking around because I didn't want to pay all that money for another
balk faucet. What I read, consistently, was that Delta 6, the company who
made them from some old molds over a decade or so, had made new molds and
the product was far superior to the previous effort. Bus Depot said the
same thing. They are not, as far as I know, the only company retailing the
Delta 6 product. But I gave the BD product a chance and was pleasantly
surprised at how much better the fit and operation was. It's perfect, well
worth the money and not to be confused with what was on the market up until
about four years ago.
