Hi Jim, I placed a unit similar to this in the cabinet under the sink, when plugged into shore power, it charges both my main and aux battery. Dual Bank is only $129. https://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=ProMariner-ProSport-Generation-3-Marine-Battery-Charger-8-Amp/Dual-Bank&i=319665&CAWELAID=120030620000165855&s_kwcid=msnsearch__&msclkid=14f83c7f56f915e088d067079074de20 It has worked wonderful for 10+ years, and my Aux battery is now 12 years old and running strong still. Best to have matching batteries if possible, but works fine if they don't match. I placed a separate battery power indicator below the seat belt on the passenger side to check the power levels on that as well. Any pointers on best practices for this? I want it to be idiot proof--plug into 110, battery charges. Period. Thanks, Jim
