Vanagonauts!

It's very interesting that this REI locatio in Spokane was the inspiration in about 1996 to organize the first-ever North American Syncro gathering.

I visited the REI (while in Spokane visiting family) and noticed TWO other Syncros in this same little parking lot!  This is the first time I'd seem THREE Syncros (including mine) in one place aside from a dealer lot.

It occurred to me that we should have some sort of Syncro gathering, actually on purpose.  I got together for 4WD trips and camping less formally a couple times, but by Spring of 1998 we held our very first Syncro Safari event in Moab, Utah.  SIX Syncros showed up and we had great fun!
