I think the wing supposed to keep the wiper arm on the windshield and stay
close to it at speed and they put it there because the steep angle of the
windshield...but then I don't know why only on the driver side and not both
side. The weird thing is on cars about the same year none have it... I used
to have BMW 735i, 325i and they doesn't have it.
