Dan,
So are you saying you can adjust the closure by loosening and moving and then tightening the round post on pillar?
(About 29 years ago when I bought my van, they did a total repaint. They took the slider door off for painting purposes. I have had cracking of the weld at post since then, about 15 years ago...the bracket that holds the post. Got it re-welded. But it's never been perfect; I think the adjustment was never proper following the paint work. Would like to address that now; because this knowledge base on the List is kind of vaporizing.)
If so, that would help me very much. My slider is all well lubricated and operates very good; but I think it's about 1/8" too low. Shows marks on the aluminum trim piece at floor. Also, it looks "kinda funny" when closed and observing...just looks a little low.

thanks guys for the help...
per Eric help I went out and adjust the round post on the pillar... the
door is closing great now, very smooth with little effort.. but the rear of
the door is sagging a bit, off about 1/2" down, so I have redo it till it
look good and closing right... now I know what to do...
