OK, Gang, I have a question. But first, the dilema.

I've been stepping slowly toward a Subie conversion for mY '88 GL. I have
parts, tools, EJ25 engine, all the appropriate engine parts off the doner
car. Special cam sprocket tool and crank damper tool. Ready to erring the
engine and put in new head gaskets. My van has WBX engine out. There's no
body dam age and every thing is there, bUT the van has gotten pretty shabby
looking, like a car does when it just sits. Good tires, Good heaters front
and back. Nothing a good scrub prol'ly couldn't fix.

Along come a n opportunity to buy from the original owner a fully
functioning '91 Carat at a very reasonable price. One in which everything
works, clean inside, some paint fade on the outside. But has a running
BOSTON BOB ENGINE that has only 50,000 miles since new, and a manual
tranny. Spitting image of the Carat I just sold, except for paint fade.

To buy the Carat would mean selling off My GL and the conversion project,
but it would put me back into another van, which I'm without right now and
for the near future. I'm driving a borrowed ( my son's) Honda forvthe
moment.

Another consideration, I'm 79 soon to be 80 years. And I miss having the
immediate use of my van.

What would you do???

John
