Need to remove rear view mirror and don't know how. Bentley deals with side
mirrors and the vanity mirror, but not mirror above windshield. In archives,
I found a lot on side view power mirrors, but on rear view mirror removal
search, I only found a hit which was asking the same question among other
questions. One post talked about twisting the stalk and it would come off,
which I didn't quite understand, especially with the windshield there.

So, how does one remove the rear view mirror above windshield without
breaking it, and is putting it back the reverse of removal?
