Subject:Re: LVC: Vanagon - Westfalia Ham (amateur) Radio Mobile - Base Transceiver Choices

I bought a Yaesu FT-2900R for the van, but I haven't had the time to mount
it yet. Also, i haven't decided where to mount it. I'd like to be able to
easily remove it for daily driving so it doesn't disappear. I still carry
my VX-7R with me for monitoring and communication with my buddy.

If you're interested in portable mobile DX and digital modes, check out the
offerings from Elecraft at
https://elecraft.com/products/kx2-ssb-cw-data-80-10-m-transceiver. I am not
affiliated with them in any way, just a fan. I would love to have the extra
coin to get one, but that just isn't the case right now.

I'd love to see your install when you've completed it!

Thank You,

Ken
