On my '88 Westy, while replacing the connector to the higher pressure
oil switch, I replaced about 1/2 of the OE brown wire to it.
(Ironically?) shortly after that, an intermittent buzzer/light on
false alarm started to happen. Cleaning the connections at the 2 wire
plugs did not help. Replacing the remainder of that OE brown wire
appeared to solve the issue; that wire was quite corroded. I can't
recall if I replaced one of the connectors at the 2 wire plug but I'm
nearly certain that corroded section of wire was the cause of the
fault.
