When you do the A/C work, you might want to think about changing out the A/C condenser that sits in front of your radiator. The new R134a refrigerant is different from the old R12 and doesn't work as well with the stock condenser. I changed mine a couple of years back and the difference is significant. Go Westy is where I got mine, not that I am pushing Go Westy. Any recommendations for an AC shop in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Lower Mainland or even Washington State? The AC has never been converted from R12. In fact, it has never had any work done on it apart from the occasional R12 recharge. It has not worked in years. I did try last year to recharge with Red Tek 12A but no success so now it’s time for a trusted expert. Also, the AC system is very accessible right now because I have removed the whole interior to address rust issues so now is a great time to fix AC issues too! I don’t mind driving to anywhere in Vancouver BC, Lower Mainland or even to Washington State for a good shop and a fair price. Thanks Rich 1990 Westy
