I installed a set of the Land Rover Defender mirrors over the weekend. You can get them on Ebay for about $110: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Volkswagen-Type-2-T3-Vanagon-Side-Mirrors-Set-With-Adapter-Brackets-RH-LH/153139269807?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D9ce4028961254239a769dab99af8393c%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D323789633962%26itm%3D153139269807&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A269930ad-7204-11e9-a495-74dbd18007a0%7Cparentrq%3A9a78e90f16a0ac3cbee938c3ffe2f5ca%7Ciid%3A1 I put up some side-by-side photos of the old and new here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/51341112@N00/albums/72157708339592775/with/47018789404/ They don't come with gaskets, but it's pretty simple to make some T shaped gaskets that fit under the Rover brackets from some rubber sheet. You can also buy the heating elements for these mirrors for about $40 if you ever drive your van in a cold climate. They are less expensive than the truck mirrors, easier to install, look pretty close to stock and have a much better field of view than the originals. -b -- it is easier to suppress the first desire than to satisfy all that follow it. <benjamin franklin>
