Well, on a recent trip I heard the sound... approaching 400K miles I will soon need rear wheel bearings (and sneaking in the question, how far will they go between the first noise and giving up completely?). I am following Alistair's old blog because his techniques comes closes to the way I will be doing the work. But upon consulting my bentley, I see on 42.4, "During repairs on vehicles prior to VIN 25ZBH119362 install new sleeves and axle nuts and torque nuts to 500 Nm." What are the thoughts on "always replace" in this case? If it's important, who offers a kit and if no one, what are the part numbers? I already have all bearings and seals I need. I just didn't anticipate spacers and the nut. Thanks, Jim
