Subject:Re: Loss of power no excelleration from stop

Hello Eric. This happened to me numerous times before and after I had put a
Boston Bob 1.9L in my van to replace the engine in it when I bought it in 1997.
Said problems would often happen in the mornings when I would drive a few
blocks, come to the stop sign at main road, and then accelerate. Not much
sometimes. Only thing I could tie it too was the O2 sensor was making the
mixture too rich until the engine was fully warm. Dirt on the connector between
the FI cable and the FI microprocessor will also cause that along with a bad
connection between AFM and FI cable. John

Then after a bit the van finds its legs and starts running again. We basically kept the foot on the gas during this time. Scarey as traffic is coming at us.
